It's a Coffee Date!

Hello and welcome to Monday Peeps! It's a President's Day Holiday here in the USA, so kids don't have School!  Yeay for this Mama!  That means less running around today! :)

Stamps:  Stampendous!  House-Mouse Designs Cling Stamp called "Java Jumpers" featuring Monica and Muzzy.  The "Coffee Date" sentiment circle is a Hero Arts mini-stamp by Clearly Kelly.
Ink:  Copics, Ginger, Caramel and Adirondack Brown DYE Inks

Techniques: Dry Embossing, Layering
Accessories: Spellbinders Renaissance Stacey Caron Design Cutting Dies, Half-Circle Dies, Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations Coffee themed Dry Embossing Folder, Circle Punch and Brown Satin Ribbon.

I needed a card to invite a sweet friend out for Coffee - so this was the perfect time to use this adorable mousey stamp! The Coloring took me the longest. (not my thing so I'm glad it's done) Looking back, the coffee beans should have been a slightly different color than the mice -  don't ya think? LOL :)

True Love, I Love You & Just A Note...

Hello Crafters! I'm back today to share 3 fun House-Mouse cards.

(My Mid-way challenge reminder make for the current Challenge #HMFMC259 found over at HMFMC The theme this week is *Sweets* or *Hearts* hosted by Teamie Bunny!
This was fun to make and I've centered my cuts around the heart shaped image that I cut off of a HMD memo pad!  The Heart is a Creative Expressions Sue Wilson die called "Heart of Hearts"!  I then added those charming heart corners to the bottom of my heart for a finishing touch.  The Background was cut with Sue Wilson's "Ray Of Light" Background Die. The True Love sentiment is Gold Chipboard taken from a "Southern Weddings" set by Becky Higgins of Project Life. I finished off the card with a multi-looped cream satin bow!

(Also for the current Challenge over at HMFMC)
The current theme is *Sweets* or *Hearts*!

Used images Ive die-cut out from a recycled HMD Mousey card. I've centered these around the heart dies that are multi layered for added dimension and finished off with a bow.  I had leftover pink ribbon so added a couple pieces to bottom of card to balance everything.

(made some time ago but never got posted here)
This card was made with DP as background. I stamped my mousey image directly on it. I've multi stamped the image and cut out the butterflies for dimension too. The sentiment is multi-cut and layered over a dry embossed circle. The Just a Note sentiment and the Gate are from Creative Expressions Cutting dies by Sue Wilson. Gate Die is called "Arbour Gate" from the Special Occasions Collection.  The tiny butterfly dry embossing was also done with a Sue Wilson EF.

Vintage Birthday Card from Playing Cards

Happy Sunday Crafters! Here is a B-day card from a while ago that had not made it on to my BLOG....  With all the Golden shimmer, it actually sparkles so much more IRL...
 Vintage Birthday Card Recipe
Would you believe that those floral images were actually die-cut out of an old deck of playing cards? Yeap, I found these at a Goodwill.

America's TIP: I often look for playing cards at Goodwill stores as you can get some super neat images to use as backgrounds!  These are usually of a heavy paper weight so they cut beautifully and work very well on any papercrafting project. :)

These lovely images screamed 'vintage cards' to me. LOL!  I've paired with creams and golds for the look. The CE/SW Lauren Die was cut and multi layered then set 3 multi layers across in tone on tone colors. I placed different playing card die-cut images under each panel. The Happy Birthday is double layered for dimension and sit on top of Pierced Flag cut.  Card is topped off with Ribbon, die-cut flower and Bling Button from Creative Expressions.  The entire card was sprayed with Gold Glitter Spray for that lovely antique/vintage shimmer.
Stamps: None
Ink: Gold Glitter Spray
Paper: Gold Glitter CS, Cream CS
Techniques: Layering, Spraying
Accessories: Various Creative Expressions Cutting Dies by Sue Wilson; Lauren Die from Frames and Tags Collection, Happy Birthday from Expressions Coll, and Camelia Open Petal dies from Finishing Touches Coll, (see pics below), CE button Dazzlers Gold Bling & Ribbon.

3 Baby Tags & A simple Birthday

Happy Friday crafters.  Hope you've been having a great week!   Here to share a set of 3 Baby-Shower Gift Tags and a simple but bold Birthday Card. Both projects were created using Creative Expressions Cutting Dies by Sue Wilson!

3 Baby Shower Gift Tags
This could have easily been a card too! I chose tags to attach to the gifts and the plastic container behind here is what I packaged this trio set into!
Stamps: None
Paper: Yellow, Green, Blue, White CS
Ink: soft yellow dye inks (for light sponging around edges)
Accessories: Ribbon, Paper Hole Punch, CE/SW Dotted Matrix Embossing Folder, Creative Expressions cutting dies by Sue Wilson; Striplet Lotus, New Arrival - Little Treasures, and the Shadow box Collection New Arrival Dies
Techniques: Layering, Dry Embossing
I multi-cut and layered each cut for dimension. The tags are sponged lightly with a soft yellow for added interest. The BABY word cubes were also stenciled / sponged while die was still over the cuts.  These are finished-off with punched holes in various locations of tags for adding the ribbons. Below is another photo of these 3 baby tags split-up.

Would you believe that this was actually a BABY CARD originally? Yeap- it was and this is what it looked like before splitting it up to make the 3 TAGS;

A simple-but dramatic-  BIRTHDAY CARD

Stamps: None.  Paper: Glossy Primary Colors, White CS.
Ink: None
Accessories: Creative Expressions Cutting Dies by Sue Wilson - Perspectives - Happy, Shadow Box Collection Lattice Frame Dies (for framing)
Techniques: Layering

I simply cut the Happy multiple times and stacked them for dimension.  I used Lattice Frame rectangular cutting dies to cut out a smaller framed piece for top  and separated the bottom to show the happy "floating".  I liked the birthday negative on its own with the contrasting yellow behind it. Aren't these dies fun?  There are so many ways to use them. Hope you will give them a try! :)

Im happy to say that I finally dug out my IKEA dish-dry/display rack (that prior to moving I had always used for making my bows). Does anyone else use a dish-rack for bows or is this just an America thing? LOL!  I have posted a couple of photos below on how I use it. Hope this inspires you to use what you already have and/or hopefully re-purpose those IKEA items.  Anyways, this had been boxed-up since we last moved from North Carolina to Colorado Summer 2016. We didnt get our household goods until the Fall of 2017 - yeap - that's over a year later .  Still, I was thankful to finally have a permanent home address and thrilled to have my crafty goodies back too. Had totally forgotten about this amazing expandable stainless steel dish tool! Can make mini to giant bows!
Below is a pic of the various size bows that this tool can create. You can go from mini bows -to huge bows!  AND... you can adust and tighten the bows as you are making them (by easily pulling on ends for expanding or contracting the tool) ! Perfect tool to re-purpose and a great way for making multiples at once! You must try this Im gonna call it the "America Bow idea"! lol
